A friend here in Italy gave me this puzzle yesterday. He said I could work on it when I didn’t have anything else to do. (I guess he thinks I’m bored.) Anyway, he has solved it, but I haven’t had a chance to work on it yet. So, I figured I’d share it with you. Don’t ask me what the answer is, because I haven’t sat down to even try to cipher it yet.
Here it is:
You have 100 euros to spend and you need to buy a variety of chickens. Keep in mind, you need to end up with 100 assorted chickens and have spent only 100 euros.
The prices of chickens are as follows:
20 chicks = 1 euro
1 hen = 1 euro
1 rooster = 5 euros
There is no set quantity of any one type of chicken that you need to buy, but you do need to buy at least one of each type.
